Happy New Year!

Just a quickie about something that has been bugging me. As my friends have slowly switched over to Mac, to which I always say, "STEVE JOBS WILL STEAL YOUR SOUL!!", I should put it out there that I have nothing against Mac. Not that much anyway.

It's not that I dislike the operating system or Apple products per se. I just dislike how the Apple converts then turn around and say YEAH WINDOWS SUCK, after using the Windows OS for more than half their lives.

I'm not a computer expert, but I would hazard a guess and say that every operating system has its problem. I'm reasonably happy with the Windows OS and I'm willing to put up with the occasional problems I have (like right now, Windows Movie Maker is being really obnoxious).

I would like to think that when you purchase a Mac, the reason why you are paying so much more is that it is for the marketing and packaging. And I'll stick to my "crappy" Windows thank you very much.

It's supposed to be happy

So the season of giving is here. Question is, how do you get a gift for someone who has everything she could possibly want and have? And when you have to get gifts for three of such someones? Help!! I've been to Haji Lane and Ann Siang Hill already ):

I need a new brain

Dear Professors,

Please do not expect me to remember every little nitty gritty detail that you know because you've had ages to memorize that shit and all I had was 15 weeks and less, plus I had other things to deal with like, oh I don't know, 4 other modules.

I mean, honestly, FBPase and FBPase 2, fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, fructose-2,6-bisphosphate? Or S-(5'-Adenosyl)-3-Methylmercaptopropylamine??? I would very much love to memorize all this, but my brain is no external hard drive with 320GB worth of storage. It's a primitive SD card with 16MB of storage.

So if you'll just be a little lenient with me. I'm trying my best! Pinky swear. Thanks!

Wheels on the bus go round and round

I never understood why people like crowding near the front of the bus...where there are no seats and the rest of the world. When there is lots of space at the back AND you have a chance of getting a seat. Why do you do that to yourself??

I haven't logged into Blogger by the front page for the longest time and I've only realised that it has changed.

Been listening to Taylor Swift's Speak Now album pretty much on repeat now. It's quite sweet. What's your favourite song? Mine's Long Live.

I'm currently writing an essay by hand. Haven't done that in a few years. But I'm still typing it to do the word count because I'm not going to count it manually. It's quite silly to put a word limit on an essay at uni level - who the hell is going to count the number of words in the exam??

I wish I had a life outside of uni right now. I miss my friends. I miss wandering around for no particular reason. But exams are here so study, we must.

Ok, back to decoding my terrible handwriting to improve on my essay!

I have the worst attention span. ): Been working on an essay for the last 4 hours but I keep getting sidetracked. Youtube is evilllll. Also, I've failed in my goal of sleeping before 1am today. But then again, I napped for 4 hours before dinner. :D
